Our honey is as close to nature as possible. When the flowers bloom, we place our hives near the flowers for the bees to gather nectar. Bees turn the flower nectar into honey. We are trained in the art of cold-extraction of honey to EU Standards. We take the cap off the honey cells. Then gently spin to extract the honey. The honey is never heated or filtered. Just as nature intended. Taste the wild flavour of nature in each jar.

Organic Honey
Physical & Chemical properties
Physical Properties
-
Viscosity:Honey is a viscous liquid, with its consistency varying based on water content, temperature, and sugar composition.
-
Color:Honey’s color can range from nearly colorless to dark brown and is influenced by the floral source and minerals.
-
Density:Honey is denser than water, with a typical density of about 1.38 to 1.45 kg/L at 20 °C.
-
Hygroscopy:Honey’s ability to absorb moisture from the air helps keep baked goods moist but can also affect its stability and tendency to crystallize.
-
Crystallization:Honey can crystallize into a solid state below its melting point (40-50 °C), a process influenced by its water content and sugar profile.
-
Electrical Conductivity:The presence of ions from minerals and acids gives honey electrical conductivity.
Chemical Properties
-
Composition:Primarily composed of carbohydrates (fructose, glucose, and other sugars), with smaller amounts of water (17-20%), proteins, organic acids, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
-
Acidity:Honey is acidic, with a typical pH between 3.7 and 4.2, which contributes to its antimicrobial properties and long shelf life.
-
Antioxidant Content:Contains polyphenols and flavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants that neutralize free radicals and have potential health benefits.
Application
Organic honey can be used as a natural, unrefined sweetener in a wide variety of foods and beverages.
- For beverages: Add a teaspoon or two to a warm glass of water in the morning for an energy boost or to hot tea to soothe a sore throat.
- In cooking and baking: Replace refined sugar in recipes for desserts, dressings, sauces, and marinades.
- On breakfast foods: Drizzle it over toast, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, and fruit for added sweetness.
- For snacks: It can be combined with other ingredients for healthy, homemade energy bars or mixed into shakes and smoothies.
